The Monday Muse

Starting today, I'm adding a new feature to the blog, "The Monday Muse". It will be a little bit of everything-my thoughts on photography, an image from the archives that I haven't posted before, or even photography tips.

As some of you know, I spent the first 18 years of my life in Arizona, so Alberta winters don't come naturally to me. This time of year, I'm torn between wishing desperately for spring, and not wanting to wish away any of life's precious moments. To remind myself of some of the beauties of winter, I thought I'd post a quick picture of took of a Southern Alberta sunset about a month ago.

A little something...

I thought I would share a little project I've been working on for my mother-in-law. Can you believe she has 17 grandchildren? I just heard yesterday that someone might be making that 18 before the 2010 is over....

Kieran and Company

Recently, I had the chance to catch up with Kieran, and his parents. I first photographed Kieran last May-what a handsome little guy! He has grown quite a bit, and I just loved his blond curls! Hardly still more than a minute, Kieran kept all of us on our toes!

It was great to catch up with all of you-thank you for letting me take your pictures!

About Me

My Photo
Becky Ackroyd
Life is a miracle, filled to the brim with moments to remember. Nothing makes me happier than living and capturing those ordinary and once in a lifetime moments. In a way, I've been creating portraits most of my life. While I was a preteen, I started dressing up my little sister, and practicing taking her portrait. I've come a long way since then, but have only grown in my love for people and portraits. To schedule an appointment, please feel free to contact me by making a comment on a recent post or emailing me at beckyackroyd@gmail.com. Pricing is at the bottom. Thank you!
